Mike Berry

Hi I'm Mike.
I am originally from Scotland, and I have been resident in Playa Del Carmen since October 2020.

In addition to starting the Playa Del Carmen Photography Club, I also host a weekly business Masterminding and Networking meetup (Playa Businesses Unite). 

I am also the Founder and Chairman of the PDCYES group. We host monthly meetings especially for those interested in Personal Development, and every month we also introduce local community projects that we have been actively supporting.

My parents moved to Australia when I was almost two years old, and almost immediately I fell seriously ill with Meningitis.  At some point whilst in hospital, somebody gifted me a small plastic camera.
It obviously didn't take real photos, but I had it strapped around my neck virtually all day, and I guess that was the beginning of my photography passion.
I have pretty much tried every genre of photography since, and I invested heavily in all sorts of toys including; lighting, lenses, filters, tripods, drones, underwater equipment etc as well as numerous excursions, trips abroad, courses and driving hundreds of miles and spending many lonely hours sitting in a hide (waiting for the rarely-spotted wild-life to hopefully appear).

I still find myself constantly seeking advanced education on how to better enhance my photographic results, and I would be honoured to assist you with your photographic project too.
